Matcha House
Matcha House is a café and bar located in Kyoto that specializes in matcha-based beverages while also offering coffee. It operates as a café during the morning and afternoon, transforming into a bar in the evenings. Housed in a renovated 80-year-old traditional Japanese building, Matcha House exudes an atmosphere that allows guests to experience the charm of "old Japan." In this project, our goal was to target café and matcha enthusiasts ranging from their late 20s to their 60s, residing in Kyoto. We aimed to create an identity and package design that conveyed the essence of Japan, with a focus on matcha green and a chilled, relaxed ambiance. Through thoughtful design choices, we aimed to evoke a sense of authenticity and cultural appreciation while ensuring a visually appealing and cohesive brand presence. The goal was to attract customers seeking a unique and immersive experience, where they could enjoy the finest matcha in a tranquil setting that embodies the spirit of Japan.
